COUNCIL FOR RESPONSIBLE POLITICAL BEHAVIOUR STARTS MONITORING OF 2025 ELECTION CAMPAIGN

With the announcement that the General Election will be held on April 28, 2025, the Founding Organizations have directed the Council for Responsible Political Behaviour to immediately start its monitoring activities to evaluate ALL political parties, candidates and their supporters as to their adherence to the Code of Ethical Political Conduct.

The Code of Ethical Political Conduct has been in existence since 2014 and calls upon all political parties, candidates and supporters to participate in the election campaign in a manner that upholds the integrity of the electoral process by maintaining the highest moral principles and ethical standards, whilst avoiding prohibited conduct. The Council monitors the election campaign period primarily through public complaints or reported breaches of the Code and invites the public to collaborate with the Council by submitting reports of possible violations to the Code. Such complaints can be made through a message to WhatsApp 793 4505 or via email to info@politicalethicstt.org. A record of complaints is kept and all will be investigated in a timely manner. The Council will report on its deliberations to the national community weekly. Citizens are invited to visit the Council’s website at www.politicalethicstt.org to view the entire Code.
